Indonesia become an overall champion winner on the Projected Images 25th FIAP Biennial Competitions, held in Bandung, at the end August, and won FIAP World Cup, Italy.. the country who has become a “HATRICT WINNER” for several periods of the FIAP Biennial finally loose the awards and the awards goes to Indonesia.
This is the first time or Indonesia to become a host for this competition.
International photo contest this biennial organized by the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP), the parent of all the federations around the world amateur photography, which is also the only art photography organization recognized by UNESCO.

This event compete the art  of photographs diapositif film (slides). Today, with advances over the age of digital technology, the event competition also allows the projected images to participate. Participants may submit works in the form of diapositif (analog) and CD (digital).

MELASTI CEREMONY

FIAP Biennial in Bandung became a monumental moment of photography competition in the world because for the first time all work must be contested in digital form, which marked the end of the era of analog film is excluded by the advance of digital technology.

In this competition recorded 340 photographs from 17 countries, each of which sends 20 works that have been selected in the national Biennial in his country. The jury consisted of:
• Jacques Denis (Belgium)
• Vice President FIAP
• Tan Lip Seng (Singapore)
• Johnson Hon Yik Sin (Hong Kong), and
• Johnny Hendarta and Budi Darmawan from Indonesia.

Unesco finally decided batik as Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Officially this inaugural will be Friday, October 2, 2009 today. With this announcment, Indonesian people batik to grow more in the world of fashion and cultural heritage of Indonesia.

“UNESCO will reinforce Indonesian batik in a representative list of cultural heritage objects humans. The announcement  will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates by Unesco at 20.00 pm. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will officially declare at 21:00 pm, “said Minister of Culture and Tourism (Ad Interim) Muhammad Nuh mentioned yesterday – Jakarta.
The inaugural Indonesian batik is a very  long journey process , begins on 3 September 2008 which was subsequently accepted officially by UNESCO on January 9, 2009. The next phase of testing process by Unesco in Paris on 11-14 May 2009.
Once inaugurated later, Muhammad Nuh, expects growth of batik in Indonesia and other cultures is increasing. ” Hopefully this inauguration, the social awareness can grow to love and save the original production of Indonesia,” said Muhammad Nuh.
After Indonesian batik, other cultures that have been filed  is Best Practice Training Batik Indonesia Culture and cultural work of angklung been nominated this year.

Meanwhile, DPP Chairman of PAN Soetrisno Bachir batik businessman who also expressed his happiness over the recognition of this Unesco. According to him, the confession was submitted September 28 and will be inaugurated October 2, 2009. “We warmly welcome. Even the government proposes to set October 2 as the Day of National Batik, “said Soetrisno Bachir.
Say, Unesco recognizes only the original batik as the nation’s cultural richness of Indonesia. Therefore,  Indonesian people should also be proud and  love batik more. This proves that batik is a national heritage of Indonesia, rather than have other nations, and can not be claimed by other nations. (ehm… which country that has claim batik?? you all know it)
According to Soetrisno Bachir, this UNESCO recognition would lead to a sense of pride while enhancing the Indonesian nationalists. Also expected to be exciting with Batik industry  in the regions.
“Batik is not just clothes. Batik is a reflection of Indonesian culture, an independent and creative culture. If we want to wear batik, batik industry in the region, will grow so dareah populist economy will grow, “said Soetrisno Bachir

Mean while in Indonasia, today ad 2 october.. all the people in indonesia are wearing batik to express their honour and their happyness about the announcement of Batik.
