For those of you the BB MANIA, prepare your self for the new Blackberry mini laptop. This Gadget has a screen with 7-8 inch size and you are more confortable to use the keyboard without feeling bore any bore (usually the user using a Qwerty keyboard).
The Celio Redfly is a “mobile companion” . Although the Windows Mobile version has been out for some time, the company has confirmed that it hopes to have a BlackBerry version out before Christmas that will work with any 4.6 OS device like the Curve, Bold, Tour and Storm.
Already available for Windows Mobile, with Google Android support coming soon, Redfly is a laptop-like peripheral that is essentially a dumb terminal to turn smartphones into notebook computers. For instance, one model measures 9 x 6 x 0.1 inches and weighs 2.0 pounds. It has an 8-inch LCD that folds against a full-size laptop-style keyboard and connects via Bluetooth or USB to a smartphone.
The makers of the new laptop-like devices say that battery life is around 8 hours for the 8-inch model and 5 hours for the 7-inch version. On the question of why you wouldn’t just get a laptop, a spokesman for the company told us “This is better than a laptop, if you lose it you lose no data”.
It’s $199 for the 7-inch version and $249 for the 8-inch model when they hit the shops in the coming months.
